Welcome to Portland!
Portland, Maine is the heart of Cumberland County and Southern Maine. Whatever you are seeking, whether it’s a wide range of entertainment & activities, or capturing the city lifestyle within Maine, Portland is the answer.
Among its varied boroughs, Portland has endless options for food, drink, and beyond. I have some personal favorites that I would love to share with you!
*Rent kayaks and paddle to Fort Gorges
*Stand Up Paddleboard at the East End Beach
*Take the Ferry to Peaks Island, then rent bicycles and do the loop!
*Breweries! My go-to is almost always Bissell Brothers, and I also love Austin Street and Maine Beer Company. Honestly, you can’t go wrong with a microbrewery here in Maine.
*See a concert at Thompson’s Point! It’s outside, with food trucks, draft, beer, and plenty of good vibes.
*Ice cream! A trip to Maine must include ice cream. Beal’s is my personal favorite.
Of course, it wouldn't be a trip to Portland without dining at some of our incredible restaurants. Some of my favorites include:
*Breakfast/ Brunch: Becky’s Diner, Marcy’s Diner, Local 188, Hot Suppa, The Front Room
*Lunch/Dinner: Eventide, Duckfat, Otto’s Pizza, Salvage BBQ, Central Provisions, Green Elephant (all vegetarian/vegan), Pai Men Miyake, Boda, Empire, Local Sprouts, Portland Lobster Company, Little Giant
*Drinks: Top of the East at the Westin (especially at sunset!), The Corner Room (happy hour includes yummy champagne and free snacks), The Porthole, Bissell Brothers, MJ’s Wine Bar, or Novare Res
